Inspired by the timeless Gibson Hummingbird™, the Raven takes flight as its shadowed twin a striking fusion of tradition and audacity.
While it shares the Hummingbird’s classic square-shoulder silhouette, the Raven carves its own path with a bold, dark aesthetic and an unmistakable artistic presence. Its Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, reinforced with scalloped Advanced X-bracing, deliver the resonant tone and warmth that have defined Gibson acoustics for generations.
The mahogany neck, shaped with a comfortable Round profile, flows into a bound ebony fretboard adorned with mother-of-pearl star inlays a celestial nod to Hammett’s own otherworldly artistry. With a 16″ radius for fluid playability and Grover® Rotomatic® tuners for rock-solid tuning, every element of this instrument speaks to performance without compromise. The TUSQ® nut, saddle, and bridge pins further ensure pristine tone and unwavering stability.
At the heart of the Raven’s identity lies its headstock, crowned by the Gibson logo and a mother-of-pearl raven skull inlay a symbol of transformation and creative power. Double pickguards etched with intricate raven imagery and a custom tailpiece complete the visual narrative, blending gothic beauty with fine craftsmanship.
